H&F Bread Co. is pleased to announce that Rob Alexander has joined the organization as Executive Baker. In his new position, Mr. Alexander will play a vital role in strategic growth and product development while maintaining H&F’s commitment to excellence.
"We are thrilled to have Rob join our team! H&F Bread Co. brought Rob to Atlanta eight years ago when he first began working with us. He laid a strong product foundation for the company and helped us become the operation we are today. I am thrilled to have him back and am excited about the fresh competencies and strengths that will elevate our experienced team to the next level. We are in a great season of growth and are poised to further our company’s future,” said Joe Best, Owner and CEO.
Rob Alexander has over twenty years of professional experience, including acting as Executive Baker at Labriola Baking Co. in Chicago, Head Baker for the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group in Napa Valley, California, and most recently Partner at TGM Bread. He has in depth bakery operations, bakery product development, and strategic level bakery experience pertinent to his role at H&F. Mr. Alexander has received many accolades in his career, most recently being featured by NY Times, local magazines and news outlets, and received a James Beard nomination Spring 2016. Rob has opened 5 successful bakeries in his career. He spent several years training with a bakery in the Rhone Alps region of France, apprenticed with the Minneapolis Baking school, and worked alongside French Companion, Lionel Vatinet of La Farm Bakery in Cary, NC in the early stages of his career.

The park, on the National Historic Registry, offers wee ones the chance to rock hop and tickle their toes in the creek. Bigger (and braver) kids can slip around on their bottom or belly on the rocks so be sure to back a suit that can stand up to some sliding.

The Family Food Fest Atlanta Multicultural Father’s Day Celebration food tasting event is held at the Georgia Aquarium in the Oceans Ballroom on June 21. Nearly 100 cooks, chefs, caterers, restaurants and more than 1,500 guests attended, last year, with even more in plan for 2016.
Family Food Fest Atlanta, a Multicultural Father's Day Food Tasting Celebration made its debut in 2015 at the Georgia Aquarium. This year it will be held at the Georgia Freight Depot. The producers of Family Food Fest have been doing a successful Father's Day food tasting event in Atlanta for 14 years.

1. Pretzel Bread French Toast
Slice H&F Pretzel Ficelle into thick slices and batter them with egg and a little cinnamon & sugar. Pan fry them and you're on your way to a salty-sweet heaven. We love topping this one with a little almond butterfor extra protein.
2. Egg in a French Bagel Basket
For this gem, simple slice your H&F Bagel in half and batter in egg. Add to a hot pan and while its cooking, crack and a farm fresh egg into the center to make a new take on an egg-in-a-basket. The savoriness of the bright yellow yolk mixes great with a sweet kick from Red Earth Organics Blueberry Syrup.
3. Georgia Pecan Biscuit French Toast & Sausage
You can't have biscuits without sausage. This is Georgia after all! Get a hot pan going and cook up somesausage patties. Meanwhile, whisk eggs with some Georgia Pecan Milk and use it batter H&F Biscuits. Pan fry those bad boys in the sausage grease and you've got a serious Southern treat!

a water glass and one medium-size wineglass at each setting (no need for multiple wineglasses—a midsize one can work for red or white)
a white plate—”food always looks best on a white plate”—topped with a bowl if you’re serving soup first
a French bistro napkin folded on the plate—choose a cotton one, since linen often requires ironing
a fork, a knife, and a spoon—though you need the spoon only if you’re serving soup. As Bryn points out, “Too many forks and knives can look like you’re preparing war with silverware! When you serve dessert, you can bring the dessert spoons or forks in a mason jar.”

Our Marketing and Demo Specialist, Britnee, has had a wonderful time at the Whole Foods in the Atlanta area. She has created memories with the first time tasters and rekindled old taste buds with long time H&F Bread lovers. Things have been going great. Yesterday while at Whole Foods Avalon, Britnee captured our Olive Pain Au Levain loaf, sliced and our Asiago Sourdough loaf, sliced.
